Last year Weird Al clawed his way back into the spotlight with his album Mandatory Fun in a big way!
Leading up to the released of his album, which would eventually hit #1 on the Billboard top 200 chart, he released eight videos in eight days using online platforms like Yahoo, Funny or Die, College Humor, and The Nerdist. Reaching #1 on the charts is great and all, but the real victory is that Weird Al has revived his career.
Weird Al announced on Tuesday, January 20th that he will be going on a massive World Tour, when he released a trailer on his official website.
The tour will start on May 12th, 2015 with 5 shows in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood. Weird Al will be making stops in other major cities across the United States and Canada, such as New York, Boston, Chicago, Vancouver, Ottawa, Calgary, and many more.
The North America part of the tour ends on September 18th, 2015 at Harrah’s Laughlin: Rio Vista Outdoor Amphitheatre in Laughlin.
After a short break the tour will continue in Europe on September 24th, 2015 in Stockholm, Sweden until October 6 in Dublin, Ireland. Weird Al also plans on making his way to Australia and New Zealand. Details will be released shortly.
