Rockstar Games’ much-anticipated release of Grand Theft Auto V on the PC has been delayed from January 27 to March 24, according to the developer’s official blog.
To tide players over in light of the surely disappointing news, the game’s elusive system requirements were released alongside several new beautiful screenshots, which can all be found below.
“Our apologies for the slight shift in the date but the game requires a few extra weeks of testing and polish to make it as good as it can be,“ explains Rockstar. “Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice we make only when we know it is in the best interests of the game and our fans. Thanks to everyone for your understanding and we assure you these extra few weeks will be worth it when the game does arrive in March.”
GTA V’s multiplayer component, GTA Online, will be up and running by launch and allow up to thirty players to free-roam around Los Santos together. Notably, PC players should expect Online Heists to be part of the multiplayer experience on March 24. While heists are prominently featured in the single-player campaign, which hit store shelves in 2013, its multiplayer iteration has been long-announced and sorely missed.
On the social media front, GTA will come with “Rockstar Editor,”’ a feature players can use to tinker with and publish gameplay clips to either Youtube or the developer’s proprietary platform, Social Club.
For gamers with beefy setups, “The game will run at 1080p and 60fps with up to a 4K resolution. There will be support for triple monitor configurations, as well as Nvidia 3D Vision for stereoscopic output.”
