Fourth graders’ plans to kill “mean” teacher foiled

Everybody has a teacher that they didn’t particular care for while in school, but very rarely do people plot to actually kill that teacher. And even less rarely are those students in the fourth grade.

According to the New York Daily News, three fourth-grade students at a New York elementary school were plotting to kill their teacher last month. According to the report, the students wanted to kill their teacher because the teacher was “mean.” The students weapon of choice was hand sanitizer.

The three students found out that their teacher was allergic to hand sanitizer, so they were going to place anti-bacterial products on different things in the classroom. They were hoping to carry out their plan in December, but luckily, another student found out about the plan and told parents, who then alerted the school board.

Because the students did not carry out the plan, they will not be charged with any crimes. Two of the three students were suspended, though. All three students were nine-year old girls.

Police consider the plans “idle chatter,” but the school district is treating the threats “very seriously,” according to the Daily News.

The names of the students and the teacher have not and will not be released to the public.
