Ron swanson going to fargo for recurring role!

Nick Offerman, although you may know him as the character from Parks and Recreation Ron Swanson, has recently been casted and chosen for a  recurring role in the second season of the hit TV series Fargo.

Offerman will appear in Fargo’s second season as the character Karl Weathers. The second season of Fargo takes place in the year 1979 in the town of Luverne Minnesota. The show is based around a young investigator Lou Solverson, played by Patrick Wilson, who is investigating a case that involves a local crime gang and a more major mob organization. Offerman’s character Karl is the town lawyer who is a drunk and a Korean war veteran.

What attracted Offerman to the role and the series as a whole is the writing, he says.

Offerman recently told EW, ““It’s a terrific show for actors and when I saw the first season I said, ‘Boy, if they would ever have me, I’d love to recite some of that Minnesota dialogue,’ and sure enough that’s what I’ll be doing.” He also stated,“I don’t get to shoot anybody in the face but I love the writing on that show.”

Along with Offerman, the season cast of Fargo will also be including Ted Danson and Jean Smart. Other recurring guest-stars on the show are Brad Garrett, Kieran Culkin, Bokeem Woodbine Jeffrey Donovan and Angus Sampson.

Stay tuned to the new season of Fargo, and also get ready for Ron Swanson (Offerman) as the final season of Parks and Recreation gets back on the air January 13th.
