Longtime couple Kris and Bruce Jenner have finalized their divorce with the official judge sign off.
It only took short three months after filing for divorce for Kris and Bruce Jenner to finalize things. After 22 years of marriage it appears that the couple had an easy time dealing with the legal side of things.
The couple originally filed back in September, both citing irreconcilable differences and basically identical paperwork. Both have remained friendly both to each other and about each other to the media. They have even been spotted supporting each other and the family together at a variety of events.
Kris Jenner is of course the mother to the Kardashian clan, which includes Kim, Khloe, Kourtney and Rob with her late husband Robert Kardashian. Bruce Jenner is father to Brody, Brandon, Burt and Casey Jenner. Together Kris and Bruce have daughters Kendall and Kylie. At age 17 Kylie is the only minor child in the marriage, and Kris and Bruce have agreed to share custody. There will be no child support exchanged, as Kylie is nearing 18 anyway.
As for the financial dealings, neither Kris nor Bruce will receive spousal support, and they reportedly cleanly divided up their bank accounts. Kris will keep the Calabasas home where many of the family’s reality show episodes have taken place. Other reports say that Kris will give Bruce a $2.5 million equalization payment to seal the deal.
The couple did not sign a prenuptial agreement when they first married, but the divorce seemed to be quite drama free. They have already divided up all of their personal belongings and physical property. As for thier intellectual property and business practices, they will both retain the work that they have individually created and keep the proper things in their own names.
Together the joint fortune of the exes has been estimated to be in the range of $60 million, so it is obvious that neither party is walking away from the marriage without a hefty sum.
In a November interview on The Talk, Kris Jenner shared her thoughts on moving apart from ex-husband Bruce. “It’s a decision. Love is a decision, divorce is a decision. It’s not a good decision, but we’re happier living apart than we were together. Everybody feels it,” she shared.
Kris just became a grandmother for the fourth time, welcoming daughter Kourtney’s third child and second son into the world this December. “The good in my life so outweighs the bad. It’s such joy. And we’re all happy and looking forward to all the good stuff in life,” she shared on the new addition to the family.
While the judge has officially signed off on the divorce, the final date it goes through will be Mar. 23, 2015. Both Kris and Bruce have reportedly moved on in their relationships, which may be part of the reason for the cleanness and expediency of the split.
Kris has been spending time with much younger 33-year-old Corey Gamble, while Bruce has reportedly been spending time with a friend of Kris’ named Ronda Kamihara. Both blossoming relationships have the potential to cause some tension.
Kris and Bruce previously jointly opened up to E News about the future of their family. “But we will always have much love and respect for each other,” they shared. “Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority.”
