Shia LaBeouf pleads guilty to disorderly conduct after bizarre arrest

Former 'Transformer' star pleads guilty to charges after drunken Broadway outburst and vows to continue his substance abuse treatment.

Shia LaBeouf made headlines last June when he drunkenly interrupted a performance of Cabaret on Broadway, and the former Transformer star pleaded guilty in a New York court on Tuesday to his disorderly conduct in the bizarre incident. LaBeouf and his attorney supplied evidence proving the 28-year-old actor is complying with his drug treatment program and six-month probation.

Shortly after LaBeouf’s Broadway outburst, which involved him smoking cigarettes inside the building and grabbing the butts of several actors, police escorted the actor out of Studio 54 and into custody at the Midtown North station.

“F- you. This is f-ing bullshit. Do you know my life? Do you know who the f- I am? Do you know who I am?” he reportedly shouted at his arresting officers.

He stayed the night in jail before being arraigned the next morning at Midtown Community Court and charged with two counts of disorderly conduct, one count of trespass, one count of criminal trespass and harassment in the second degree.

The judge stated that as long as he took three months of substance abuse treatment and didn’t get arrested during this 6 month period, his criminal record would get wiped clean. Since striking the deal, LaBeouf has been receiving treatment at The Hills Treatment Center in Los Angeles and has stayed out of trouble. Following today’s hearing, Manhattan criminal court Judge Ann Scherzer ordered LaBeouf to return to court on Mar. 20, 2015 to evaluate his dismissal agreement.

“Shia has done a terrific job of complying with his program and we appreciate the court’s recognition of that,” said the actor’s lawyer, Robert Gage, told reporters outside of the courthouse.

LaBeouf made no comment to the reporters and photographers who surrounded him as he left the court.
