The New York Giant’s Odell Beckham Jr. possibly made one of the greatest catches the game of football has seen in quite some time on Sunday night. While Dallas Cowboy’s cornerback, Brandon Carr interfered with Beckham’s mid-air, three-finger grab, which landed him in the end zone for a touchdown, fans and players watched in awe. Fans and celebrities alike took instantly to social media sites like Twitter, expressing their amazement of Beckham’s catch.

Unpredictable, yet spectacular catches are nothing new to Beckham, as he has a reel of highlights dating back to his LSU college years. Beckham was interviewed after the game, with reporters asking how he felt about “the greatest catch.” Beckham playfully and honestly replied: “I hope it’s not the best catch because with time I hope I can make more.” Analysts have no doubt that the rookie will go on to provide more shocking moments on the field.

Despite the incredible catch and the touchdown it produced, Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboy’s quarterback, upstaged Beckham and the New York Giants later in the game, answering aggressively, by throwing two touchdown passes. The last touchdown pass by Romo to Dez Bryant created a three point spread comeback in the remaining minutes of the fourth quarter. The game ended in the Cowboy’s favor, 31-28 over The New York Giants. Although the Cowboys managed to come out with the win, media outlets could not stop talking about Beckham’s one-handed catch. ESPN announcers have been showing highlights of the game as well as reliving similar amazing catches in previous years.

Tony Romo went on to say that, “the game is never over,” in reference to his team’s comeback after being down at halftime.
