The firestorm of controversy surrounding comedian Bill Cosby’s sexual misadventures has not stopped spreading. Recently more allegations came to the fore: two by women, as one might expect, and one by a man, which could be the most serious one of all. That is not to say that Cosby had relations with Frank Scotti, the man in question.

It turns out Scotti was Cosby’s business manager during the height of the alleged shenanigans. He claims Cosby ordered him to set up a considerable number of private meetings with young models and actresses and to send out a number of money orders, seemingly as compensation for those “meetings.” Scotti claims he finally quit in disgust. If his allegations are true, there may be a good many more victims than the ones who have already brought themselves to people’s attention.

Most recently, actress and former model Michelle Hurd cited an instance, not of outright sex, but of inappropriate behavior when she was very young and starting out in the business. Adding even more fuel to the fire, Renita Chaney Hill spoke of liaisons that almost certainly went beyond the bounds of inappropriate behavior. Ms. Hill says Cosby met her in a number of hotel rooms, where he always insisted she take a drink, and there she always fell into unconsciousness.

One common thread is these allegations is that they all occurred several years ago, many of them during Cosby’s time as Dr. Heathcliff Huxtable. As a result the statute of limitations may have run out on these matters, even if they prove to have been true. Then again, modern legal precedent seems to allow for the expansion or outright dismissal of that statute in a case where a minor has been abused. Were any of Cosby’s alleged victims minors?
