Police: Fresno State student sexually assaults sheep, blames stress of exams

Officers found the man in a barn after a student called Fresno State police after strange noises came from the Fresno Sheep Unit.

Police have arrested a Fresno State University who allegedly had sex with a sheep to relieve stress from his studies.

Police say they caught the 23-year-old student Tuesday after finding him with his pants down with a ewe, according to New York Daily News.

The man, who is in his fifth year as a computer engineering student, asked if he would be expelled for the crime, but his problems could be much bigger than that as he faces beastiality charges.

Officers found the man in a barn after a student called Fresno State police after strange noises came from the Fresno Sheep Unit. The man said he was merely wrestling with cattle, but thee were no cows around, and said of the sheep, “it was all the same,” according to the report.

Later, the student said he was trying to relieve stress from exams and had been drinking.

Veterinarians are taking care of the affected sheep.

The incident caused some online jokes, including the launch of a “Fresno State Sheep” Twitter account.

Fresno State keeps the ewe, along with about 100 others, for breeding, to produce wool, and to allow use to 4-H clubs.

A California ABC TV station quoted a student as saying the behavior was “disgusting and revolting, and personally makes me angry.”

The man was formally charged with sexual assault of an animal, and has since been released from jail.
