Mama June Shannon’s rumored relationship with a sex offender forced TLC to cancel Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, but the reality show star is still finding ways to stay in the spotlight. Shannon posted on her daughter Alana Thompson’s Facebook page on Friday to promote her film debut in Dumb and Dumber To.

Shannon is currently being romantically linked to two sex offenders, and rumors state that she’s currently dating the man who molested her eldest daughter, Anna Marie Cardwell. Cardwell told People in October that she “would feel hurt” if her mother really turned out to be seeing Mark Anthony McDaniel, but told the magazine that she thinks “the past should be in the past and it should stay in the past and not come back out.” Shannon’s potential relationship with McDaniel may result in her losing custody of her children, but the reality star strongly hopes that her cameo in Dumb and Dumber To will distract fans from the recent scandal.

“I know with all the craziness going on now but I’m very excited to announce that I’m going to be in the new Dumb and Dumber To movie,” she posted recently on her daughter’s Facebook fanpage. “I’m very appreciative for the opportunity and the experience of doing something like this the Farrelly brothers.”

The 35-year-old plays the trailer-park wife of Jeff Daniels’ character Harry in a dream sequence in the film. Jim Carrey’s character, Lloyd, goes to pick up Harry’s daughter for a date, and ends up groping Mama June’s bosom in the process.

“Jim Carrey was just as funny in person as he is on TV,” wrote Shannon.

Dumb and Dumber To was released in theaters on Nov. 14. The film reunites the titular duo of Carrey and Daniels after a 20-year break from playing Lloyd and Harry.
