Rapper Yung Berg was fired from VH1’s Love & Hip Hop Hollywood after being arrested for allegedly beating up his girlfriend, TMZ reports.
“Based on the severity of the allegations against Yung Berg, VH1 is terminating its relationship with him in connection with Love & Hip Hop Hollywood, effective immediately,” VH1 said in a statement Friday. “The arrest took place in a New York hotel several hours after the taping of the reunion special for Love & Hip Hop Hollywood had wrapped.”
According to TMZ, the assault, which took place at the Gershwin Hotel in NYC at 2:15 a.m., was allegedly over the rapper’s credit cardĀ being declined.
ABC News reports that Masika TuckerĀ alleged that Berg grabbed her neck, tossed her onto the ground and dragged her by her hair. She also claimed that Berg hit her in the face.
Berg was arrested and charged with criminal obstruction of breathing.
