Fans expressed their distaste via Twitter.
Rapper Nicki Minaj has been accused of using Nazi imagery in a lyric video for her single “Only,” BuzzFeed reports. The lyric video, which was posted Friday, has already been viewed nearly 600,000 times.
It’s not too difficult to spot the Nazi references: soldiers wearing red armbands, a black and red color scheme and a logo designed around Nicki Minaj’s initials that looks eerily similar to the Nazi symbol.
“From the color scheme itself, to the large red tapestries bearing a simplistic Young Money symbol to the red arm bands worn by the soldiers in Minaj’s army, the lyric video is obviously visually inspired by Nazi imagery, which is both insulting and honestly a tiring source of inspiration,” wrote Jezebel’s Isha Aran.
Fans also took to Twitter to express their distaste.
“Please delete the ONLY lyric video and apologize for the Nazi references please,” one user tweeted.
“i <3 you. but making a nazi themed video, w/yourself as a sexy Hitler & your initials looking like a swastika? disrespectful :(” another user tweeted.
