Fans of TLC’s Honey Boo Boo were shocked to learn on October 24 that the network had cancelled the popular reality TV show after four seasons. The show was cancelled after TMZ reported a day earlier that “Mama June” Shannon is once again dating Mark McDaniel, the same man who molested her then eight-year-old daughter Anna Marie “Chickadee” Cardwell and spent ten years in jail because of his crime.

Although Mama June has denied the allegations, photographic evidence posted by TMZ has shredded her credibility in the eyes of the network, the show’s fans and the American public.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight on Thursday, Anna said she feels “betrayed” that her mom would start seeing the same man who she says molested her in 2003. According to Us Weekly, a sheriff’s report confirms the nature of the allegations.

“I would look at him in disgust and spit in his face and say, ‘You f—ing leave or I’m gonna call the cops,” Anna said when asked what she would do if she saw McDaniel again. “You’re not supposed to be here, you know what you did.'”

Sandra Hale, Anna’s grandmother, told Entertainment Tonight that she was contacted by child services and that she told them to “look into [Mama June’s relationship with McDaniel] carefully and closely.”
