After being released from a psychiatric hospital earlier this week, troubled actress Amanda Bynes went on a Twitter rant, slamming her parents and praising Zac Efron.

TMZ reports that Bynes was released from the hospital Thursday after officials decided that the actress could no longer be held involuntarily.

Her first tweet following her release suggested that her 3.4 million followers were in for a barrage of nonsensical, angry and sometimes funny tweets from the 28 year old.

“It is not illegal to talk about my personal business,” she tweeted.

“By the way I just want to tweet that Zac Efron is not ugly,” she added.

Bynes tried unsuccessfully Friday to persuade a Ventura County judge that she is capable of making important life decisions on her own.

According to E! Online, Bynes remains under a temporary conservatorship that allows her mom to make medical and financial decisions for her.

A hearing on the conservatorship is set for February 24 of next year.
