John Coleman argues that the issue has become political.

You can add weatherman and co-founder of the Weather Channel John Coleman to the list of climate change skeptics, according to Hollywood Reporter.

Coleman, who appeared on Fox News Channel’s The Kelly File, specifically named former vice president and climate change drum-beater Al Gore in his argument that it is mankind’s fault that Earth is warming.

Coleman complained that climate skeptics are shunned in the mainstream media, and blamed Gore making the topic a core value of the Democratic party as a reason for that. Gore won an Oscar for his 2006 documentary An Inconvenient Truth, which warned of the dangers climate change posed to the planet.

Coleman argued that Gore profited handsomely off the issue, and that he should be ashamed of that.

He also claimed that thousands of experts joined him in their disagreement with man-made climate change, and that they agreed ice caps weren’t melting. In fact, he argued that the ice caps are at the highest they haveĀ been in years, reaching records in both coverage and thickness.

Coleman slammed the media for perpetuating what he said are a number of falsehoods: melting icecaps, rising oceans, a declining polar bear population, storms that would ravage the globe, and heat waves that would kill off humans in droves.

Coleman pointed to his credentials as a meteorologist and said that the topic has become a political and environmental issue rather than a scientific one.
