Amy Poehler’s nine-year marriage to Blades of Glory co-star Will Arnett officially came to an end last April, and during a recent interview with Howard Stern, the 43-year-old comedian revealed that it wasn’t long after the couple separated that she went on a date with another well-known actor. Poehler confessed to Stern that before she got together with her current beau Nick Kroll, she went on a dinner date with Full House star John Stamos.

On Stern’s talk show, the Saturday Night Live alum revealed that she and Stamos were in a movie together soon after her separation from Arnett, and he asked her to go get dinner with him. However, Poehler didn’t realize it could potentially be a date until they were already eating.

“I was at a restaurant. We were having dinner and I was like, ‘Oh, maybe this is a date!’ I didn’t know… I kinda blew it,” joked Poehler, who said that she definitely “wasn’t foxy” and was simply wearing a shirt from the set of Parks and Recreation. “I remember thinking, like, ‘Oh, s—t.”

Poehler told Stern that entering into the dating world was “new and weird,” and it took her some time to get used to it.

“I hadn’t dated when there was texting. I got married in 2003 and all of a sudden I’m like, ‘Oh, right now you text somebody.’ That was new.”

However, she currently loves the freedom that comes with living alone, and even though she is happily dating fellow comedian Nick Kroll, she doesn’t see herself moving in with anyone anytime soon.

“It’s great to not live with somebody! I don’t know if I ever want to live with somebody else again.”
