Jep Robertson, a member of Duck Dynasty suffered a seizure while out deer hunting with friends. The 36-year-old was hospitalized and is recovering. He tweeted to fans “Well I just about died this past Sunday…I’m doing much better now. Thanks for all the prayers!” A representative for the reality star said that he was immediately rushed to the hospital and is improving with continuing treatment and testing.

Robertson is the youngest son of family patriarch Phil Robertson and the younger brother of Willie Robertson. Willie is the CEO of Duck Commander, which is the family empire. The family is close knit and star of the reality series Duck Dynasty, which follows their lives. Jep’s proper name is Jules Jeptha, and his wife is Jessica Robertson. Together, they have four children. He films and edits footage for the Duckmen DVD series. Despite the health scare, he managed to find humor in it, uploading a split photo of him below Steven Segal from the film Hard to Kill. The caption read Just like Steven Segal, I’m hard to kill. Like the film, both men sport long beards.

Robertson was at a hunting camp with Willie when the seizure happened. He is currently being treated with antibiotics to ward off any infections. Fortunately, there is no permanent damage from the ordeal. His family is close by his side and giving him love and support as he recovers. The Duck Dynasty clan will continue on stronger and more united than ever. Robertson, like his other bearded brothers will not let a medical crisis stop him. He should be in good shape for the wedding of his nephew John Luke who recently got engaged. Fans can see him on reality series when it returns. The seventh season of Duck Dynasty will premiere on A&E on November 19th.
