Anna Shannon one of the reality actors on the Honey Boo Boo series and the daughter of Mama June, recently revealed to media outlets she was a victim of Mark McDaniel, a convicted child molester who her mother June Shannon(Mamma June), is reportedly dating after her separation from her husband on the show.

McDaniel,53, was convicted of aggravated child molestation in 2004 just recently being released in 2014, ten years later from his jail sentence for sexually assaulting June’s 8 year old relative. McDaniel was dating June when the crime went underway. Although Mama Junes success is brought to her from a show about her child, it has seemingly escaped her to keep her children away from child molesters.

Anna, 20, came forward Friday to affirm to authorities she was McDaniel’s young victim, and is in distress about her mother’s decision to date him.

“I believe she is seeing him and hanging around him,” she told Radar. “I’m hurt.”

“I think me and Mama’s relationship may well be over,” she added.

The relationship was first reported by TMZ, and since has led to a cancellation of the Honey Boo Boo show by TLC.

“TLC has cancelled the series ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’ and ended all activities around the series, effective immediately,” they said in a statement Friday to the Daily News.

“Supporting the health and welfare of these remarkable children is our only priority. TLC is faithfully committed to the children’s ongoing comfort and well-being.”

“The statement of me dating a sex offender is untrue,” she said to the camera in what she described as a “truth video.”

“I would not ever ever put my kids in danger I love my kids too much,” she continued. That is my past. I have not seen that person in 10 years.”

It is hard to say how appropriate these allegations are. It is possible that the reality TV stars are feeling as though they have fallen out the spotlight and are desperately trying to get back in? Some reality TV stars have gone so far as to being false charges of sexual assault before, or have even resolved to suicidal attempts.
