Sara Haines reported for  ABC7 News, the legendary Harry Potter writer JK Rowling is planning to release a Halloween treat for Harry Potter fans. Rowling plans on releasing a new story on the eve of Halloween, centered around the evil Hogwarts professor Delores Umbridge from Harry Potter and ‘The Order of the Pheonix.” One reason why Potter fans are so familiar with Delores Umbridge is because she is the only other person besides Lord Voldemort who has left a physical scar on Harry.

It is already being predicted that the Rowling story will hit millions of shelves, stores and digital reading devices within hours of its release. Rowling’s last story was so popular it crashed the Harry Potter website impairing people’s ability to purchase the book pre-release.

The story is said to be around 1700 words, revealing a juicy new backstory of Professor Umbridge containing several new details not previously revealed in her previous books. Although 1700 words is rather short, Potter fans will jump at the opportunity to read anything of Rowling and her wizard world, school of magic books.

It is believed Rowling chose Halloween’s eve as a compliment to the style and genre of he new story. Focusing on a more darker, evil, character Delores Umbridge, who Potter fans love to hate. The dark forces present in the world of Harry Potter gives Rowling a unique avenue to express her creative writing and Harry Potter fans can expect a great well written masterpiece.

It has also recently been posted on the Harry Potter website the release dates of several new films in the  J.K. Rowling Harry Potter spinoff series, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”, set in 1920’s flapper’s New York. It is not predicted however these movies are met with the same intensity as her new short story releases.
