TMZ reports that Honey Boo Boo’s mom, a.k.a. “Mama June,” is dating a child molester who reportedly spent ten years in prison for molesting one of her relatives.

According to TMZ, June was dating 53-year-old Mark McDaniel when the molestation took place. McDaniel is now a registered sex offender.

The report did not go over well with network executives at TLC, the channel that runs Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.

“TLC is not currently in production on Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. We are very concerned about this new information and are reassessing the future of the series,” a spokesperson said in a statement to Deadline.

Although TMZ reports that June and McDaniel have been dating for several months, her son says otherwise. He told E! News that that “they are not dating, it’s been 10 years.”
