The actor explained that letting Maddox watch Fury is part of his son's introduction to the real world.
Although some have called WWII movie Fury “a face-first plunge into the blood, guts and terror of combat,” actor Brad Pitt doesn’t have a problem letting his 13-year-old son Maddox see the movie.
Pitt, who plays tank commander Sgt. Don “Wardaddy” Collier, told The Associated Press at the film’s premiere on Wednesday night that his oldest son is a “World War II buff.”
Pitt noted that letting Maddox watch Fury is part of his son’s introduction to the real world.
“The world is a beautiful place, but it’s also a very violent place,” he explained. “We talk about it afterward, so I’m not so opposed.”
Pitt’s wife, Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie, is no stranger to war movies either. She recently directed Unbroken, the story of Louis Zamperini, who survived a plane crash, 47 days at sea and a Japanese prisoner of war camp.
