Actor Charlie Sheen has confirmed that he and former adult actress Brett Rossi have ended their engagement, according to E! Online.

The former Two and a Half Men star proposed to Rossi, born Scottine Rossi, back in February during a romantic trip to Hawaii. They had planned to wed in November.

“Scotty and I had a great year together as we traveled the world and crossed a lot of things off our bucket list,” said Sheen, in a statement. “She’s a terrific gal — but we’ve mutually decided to go our separate ways and not spend the rest of our lives together.”

Rossi would have been his fourth marriage.

Sheen was previously married to Donna Peele from 1995 to 1996; Denise Richards from 2002 to 2006; and most recently Brooke Mueller from 2008 to 2011. He has two children from his marriage to Richards and two children from his marriage to Mueller. He also has an adult child from a relationship with a high school sweetheart.

The actor indicated that he was breaking off his engagement to Rossi to spend more time with his children.

“I’ve decided that my children deserve my focus more than a relationship does right now,” explained Sheen. “I still have a tremendous fondness for Scotty and I wish her all the best.”

Actor Charlie Sheen and Brett Rossi had been together for one year — eight months of that year they were engaged — before Sheen announced their breakup on Thursday.
