Garner appeared on O'Brien's talk show on Tuesday.
Streaking: the act of stripping down naked and running through a public area for fun or by way of protest. Perhaps you’ve heard of it, or done it yourself.
If so, you’re not alone. So has Jennifer Garner.
Garner appeared on Conan O’Brien’s talk show on Tuesday with the revelation that she used to be quite fond of streaking during her college years at the Barn Theatre School, where she apprenticed under trained actors.
“When I was in college, every summer I would work for free at a theater,” explained Garner. “I didn’t drink. I was never a big party girl, but I streaked. I was just in a ‘naked frame of mind’…I might have been the leader of the streakers and we just all streaked all summer.”
She then asked O’Brien if he ever had the urge to just shed his clothes, to which he responded, “I was always encouraged to be clothed at all times.”
Now with a husband, actor Ben Affleck, three children, and a beautiful home in Los Angeles, Garner has traded her streaking days for something else that sounds like another college prank: goats on her property.
The 42 year old actress described how her property has enough acreage to grow fruits, vegetables, and even peanuts, but it had also become over-run with rat-infested ivy. With Affleck leaving to shoot the new Batman movie, Garner assured him she would handle the problem.
“I said just go, I’ll take care of it, don’t worry I’ve got it. I’ve found an inexpensive way to take care of the ivy,” declared Garner, displaying a photo of some goats. 120 of them to be exact, all there to eat the ivy. “That’s my house! I rented a herd of goats. And I sent that picture to Ben on location — it was his first day on the ‘Batman’ set — and I said, ‘Honey, I’m taking care of the ivy!'”
Unfortunately, ivy does grow back and, according to Garner, the goats aren’t exactly quiet either. But for now, the problem has been solved.
