Full identities now known of slain New York family

A family of four was found was dead last week in their Albany, New York home.

The full identities of a deceased New York family are now known after school officials released the name of the children on Saturday.

According to the Seattle PI, all four members of the Chen family were found dead in their Albany home last Wednesday. The bodies of parents Jin Feng Chen and Hai Yan Li, along with children Anthony and Eddy Chen, were discovered last week by police. Initially, the identities of the parents were released, but the children’s identities were not until the principal of their school released an online statement this weekend.

According to Allan Lockwood, principal of the Guilderland Elementary School where the children attended, both Anthony and Eddy were well received by their classmates and peers. Lockwood described both children as quiet, and he also said that it was clear that the two boys loved each other.

According to friends of Anthony, the older of the two brothers, they thought he would grow up to become an architect because he liked to draw. Eddy was described as “curios by nature,” and he also enjoyed conducting science experiments. Both boys were members of the school’s gardening club after Eddy joined his older brother this year.

Other than knowing that the victims were of Chinese descent, there isn’t much information on the case being released by officials. It is unknown as of right now how the family died, or who the suspects in the case are. But officials have said that they do not believe neighbors or residents in the area should have anything to fear.
