7th Heaven star Stephen Collins dropped by agency after molestation allegations

The document also states that the couple separated in 2012 have Grant allegedly became aware that her husband had been "living a secret life".

Stephen Collins is best known for his role as a minister and dad on the television series 7th Heaven, which aired from 1996-2007, but now he may be remembered for something else.

According to divorce documents obtained by Yahoo, Collins confessed to sexual misconduct with three girls while he was in a therapy session with his now ex-wife.

“I believe that Stephen used his celebrity status to engender the trust of the families of the children he molested,” said his ex wife, Faye Grant, in a court declaration. “I further believe that there have been other victims, but he has thus far only confessed to those three girls.”

Grant allegedly became aware that her now ex husband had been “living a secret life” during a 2012 therapy session they attended together. During the session in question, Collins allegedly admit to engaging in a “long-term pattern of sexually abusing minor children, including sexually molesting three young girls over a decade ago.”

Hollywood has distanced itself from the actor since the sexual misconduct allegations surfaced. Most recently, his representation, The Agency For Performing Arts, according to USA Today.

Although no charges have been filed against Collins, he was  fired from the Mark Wahlberg sequel Ted 2. 

Collins has yet to publicly comment on the allegations, but he did resign from the national board of the SAG-AFTRA actors’ union.

Collins’ upcoming return to ABC’s Scandal has been cancelled, as well.

TV Guide Network and UPTV have also severed their relationship with the actor and 7th Heaven. They will no longer be airing reruns of the show, which lasted for 11 seasons.
