The up and coming rapper Iggy Azalea is being served with divorce papers although the female artist has reportedly never been married. According to Fox, Hefe Wine, or as known as Maurice Williams, had filed divorce documents in Texas seeking an end to what appears to be a common-law marriage.

Wine has since claimed the he and the Aussie-born singer agreed to be married, bidding themselves out as man and wife after begging to reside together in the state of Texas around the month of September in 2008. Wine alleges they began living separately last year.

This case is particular interesting since in Texas, a man and a woman who live together for any amount of time are considered legally married if they agree to be wed and hold themselves out to others as a married couple. Azalea and her representatives have told reporters and website magazine that she has never agreed to either of these conditions contrary to Wine’s allegations.

Wine has mandated to the court to bar Azalea from selling various assets accumulated during their union, while previously being at odds over the rights to her music that apparently the rapper pended during their union. If a judge were to recognize the validity of the marriage then the female artist with all her recent success could have her music property split 50/50 with Wine.

It is hard to say weather these allegations are completely true of false, all we know for sure is that the allegations have come up with the Fancy singer’s rise to fame, and that Azalea has been seeing Laker’s sixth man Nick Young for at least a year now.
