Modern Family star Sofia Vergara has a new workout motto, according to a recent interview with Shape magazine. “No pain, no cake!” the talented actress says.

Vergara appears on the November cover of Shape, wearing bikini bottoms and a sexy top.

Vergara, who is the highest paid actress on TV, earned $37 million between June 2013 and June 2014.

Despite her wealth and fame, she still deals with normal body issues.

“Everyone knows that I’ve never been into working out. I was always very happy with what I have,” Vergara tells Shape. “Then I hit 40 and I started seeing a softness everywhere on my body.”

According to the magazine, Vergara works hard to tone up her body, participating in Lagree Method workouts and taking classes like Strengthen, Lengthen, Tone.

While exercise is important to maintaining a health body weight, diet is also a critical step in this process. It turns out that Vergara has a serious sweet tooth and has been looking into some unorthodox ways to cure her of this “issue.”

“I heard about someone in LA who got hypnotized so they wouldn’t eat candy. I’m seriously looking into that because I’m obsessed,” she says. “When I do indulge, I exercise a bit harder the next day. My workout motto is really simple: No pain, no cake!”
