In a statement released Saturday, the Mesa County sheriff’s office confirmed that two people were killed when the ultralight helicopter crashed. According to KUSA-TV, the Mesa County Coroner has the victims’ bodies in their possession and are in the process of positively identifying them.

Although initial reports had duck hunters and fishermen spotting the crash, authorities contend that only fishermen were near the crash site. No one on the ground was injured by the incident.
