The singers takes a page from the title of her new single revealing in a recent interview that she's over trying to be part of the 'in' crowd.
Taylor Swift revealed in a new interview with FASHION magazine that she does not want to be part of the “in” crowd.
The 24-year-old singer got pretty deep with this interview as she explained her new outlook on life and said, “When I was younger, I was just fascinated by romance and now the most important thing to me is the opinions of [my] sisterhood of friends,” adding, “Celebrities surround themselves with people who don’t know what they want and only have you to validate their lives – that’s not interesting to me.”
Just last week though there were rumors swirling that Swift was trying to get on Justin Bieber’s good side since he and her pal Selena Gomez were back on good terms. That is hearsay but one cannot put that past Swift.
She went on to say, “You should not be threatened by women who are pretty and charismatic and good at what they do…my girlfriends have shaped me more in the past year and a half than any other factor,” summing it up with, “You’ll never really feel like you’re part of the ‘in’ crowd, but growing up means that matters to you less and less every day.”
Aside from this interview and rumors about her wanting to be BFFs with Bieber, the Country turned pop singer is among the list of celebrities involved in the nude hacking scandal. Her fans came to her defense to say the pictures released were not real.
On the music front Swift is currently riding high on her single “Shake It Off.” She has not been truly Country in some time, but this song truly made her solely a pop artist. If she wins another Country award for this record, something in the system is broken.
Fans can read the rest of Swift’s interview when the November issue of FASHION hits newsstands October 13.
