Following her recent arrest for allegedly driving under the influence in Los Angeles, former actress Amanda Bynes has landed in New York City, where reports indicate that her behavior has become increasingly erratic.

According to TMZ, the All That star was spotted on New York City’s Upper East Side on Friday evening appearing disheveled. Dressed in sweatpants, multiple layers and a scarf, she entered the famous and expensive jeweler Cartier before exiting without making a purchase.

That same night, Bynes, 28, was spotted in Union Square. Onlookers said that she appeared to be paranoid and was speaking to inanimate objects, specifically a tree.

In addition to sporting long bleached tresses, the troubled former actress smoked a cigarette and wore a large bandage under her right eye.

She was spotted wearing the same bandage while leaving Los Angeles International Airport that morning, according to the Daily Mail.

While at the airport, Bynes stopped at on-site restaurant to eat. The server who waited on her later described the former child star as “not well” and “f—ing crazy.”

The waitress, Brittany Anne, snapped a photo of Bynes and posted it to Instagram. She went on to describe the encounter in the caption of the photo.

“Before I knew who she was all I heard was a server telling me to kick out the crazy b—- at (table) 141 who’s putting on a ton of make up at the table,” wrote Brittany Anne, “so before I even saw her face I walked over and made a comment and when she looked up and replied I was like ‘holy f—, it’s Amanda Bynes.’

“And then she was like, ‘Well I sat myself one of the hostesses looked really upset and.. Blah blah blah.’ She just started making s— up dude and then I was just like ‘No problem girl,'” continued the waitress. “She started putting on tons of make up and making weird faces and talking to herself. She’s not well.”

Amanda Bynes first rose to fame as a child actor before transitioning to teenage roles. She announced her retirement from acting in 2012. Last year, Bynes had a very public meltdown on Twitter with much of her erratic behavior (both online and not) making headlines. In July 2013, Bynes was involuntarily placed on a psychiatric hold for evaluation at a hospital. She was released in December and later enrolled in the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Irvine, Calif. Bynes had reportedly been doing well — and staying out of the headlines — until last week’s arrest.
