In a new interview, Affleck reveals he knew his portrayal would have to be "warts and all."
After over a decade in the film business, Ben Affleck’s first full frontal scene has arrived. The star of the new film Gone Girl sat down for an interview with MTV and revealed that his whole body will be revealed when the movie opens on Friday.
“It’s ironic because David [Fincher] said to me from the beginning, this is a warts and all movie,” Affleck said, referring to his director. “It can have no vanity. You have to see the naked underbelly of this character.”
Affleck called the scene “very brief nudity.” He then joked, “The penis is in there! It costs extra. It’s IMAX penis. You’ve gotta pay fifteen bucks to see it in 3D…it’s better in 3D.”
He finally added, “You should know it was very cold. It was a very cold set. It was freezing. It was subzero.”
During an interview with Affleck’s wife Jennifer Garner, E! News reports that Affleck’s rear end also appears during the film. Luckily his costars, including Rosemary Pike and Neil Patrick Harris, also show their skin, so he doesn’t feel singled out.
