Ben Affleck’s children aren’t impressed by his Batman role

Gone Girl star says he needs to be in Frozen to impress his kids.

Apparently not even Batman can take down the Disney behemoths. Gone Girl and Batman vs. Superman star Ben Affleck stopped by the Late Show with Jimmy Fallon on Monday and revealed his three children were unimpressed by his heroic role.

“People always say, ‘are your kids into it?’ No, they’re not,” Affleck, 42, reports. “If I was doing the sequel to Frozen, I would be a hero. My two older daughters could give a s—t about Batman.”

Affleck said that even his 2-year-old son Samuel had been sucked into the Frozen frenzy: “He’s like, ‘Papa, can I watch Frozen? And I’m like, ‘no, dude! It’s not on again!’” Since the actual movie is no longer on line for viewing, the family has resorted to finding other Frozen content—including Jimmy Fallon’s performance of Let It Go with Idina Menzel.

“He loved it,” Affleck said about the segment. “He goes crazy for it. And then he wants me to sing along.” Since the actor’s talents don’t lie in singing, he required a bit of encouragement from Samuel to get into the spirit of the performance. “He’s started being like, ‘No, papa! Do it like the man’! I was like, ‘First of all, I’m your father! Jimmy Fallon’s not the man! I’m the man!’”

Gone Girl hits theatres on Friday and Batman vs. Superman arrives next year.
