Goodell's image has been shaken by his handling of the Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson scandals.
First time Saturday Night Live host Chris Pratt, star of Guardians of the Galaxy and NBC’s Parks & Recreation, began his hosting gig by hilariously portraying NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.
Goodell’s image has been shaken by his handling of the Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson scandals.
Pratt was joined in the SNL Cold Open by Kenan Thompson and Jay Pharoah, who played Ray Lewis and Shannon Sharpe, respectively.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Goodell praised everyone who supported him during these tough times, such as Redskins owner Dan Snyder (who refuses to change his team’s name) and Michael Vick (who was previously convicted of taking part in a dog fighting operation).
Goodell also announced the NFL’s new slogan: “We Fight Women,” he said. “Excuse me — We Fight for Women.”
According to Mediaite, Kenan’s Lewis and Jay’s Sharpe did an excellent job of ducking questions about the NFL and domestic violence from CNN’s Candy Crowley, played by Aidy Bryant.
