George Clooney wed his fiancee Amal Alamuddin in Venice over the weekend in a star-studded affair fit for an A-lister. The festivities began on Friday night, when Clooney enjoyed his last friday night as a single man. He and his friends wined and dined at Da Ivo, which is reportedly one of Clooney’s favorite restaurants in the area.

The fun continued on Saturday and Sunday as A-list guests arrived for the wedding of the year. Clooney, who has had a string of long-term girlfriends over the years, never seemed to be one to settle down but something about British lawyer Alamuddin made him change his mind.

Guests lucky enough to be attending the Clooney-Alamuddin wedding were treated to luxury one could only dream of. A seven-star resort greeted guests. They were served an impressive five-course meal of lemon risotto with lobster and wild mushrooms and figs.

According to reports, the guest list was nothing short of spectacular. Cindy Crawford and her husband , Randy Gerber, who is said to be Clooney’s best man, have already been spotted on a boat with the couple. Matt Damon, Angelina Jolie, Bradd Pitt and more are expected to arrive in Venice at any point. Once they arrive they will be whisked away by gondola to the garden’s in Aman. There will, of course, be heavy police presence throughout the whole affair.

Women around the world may be weeping at the loss of one of Hollywood’s most eligible bachelors but his wedding is sure to give them something to talk about.
