There is more to the story of the recent split between rapper Wiz Khalifa and model Amber Rose. The two surprised fans and the public by ending their 14-month marriage, with Rose, 31, accusing her husband of cheating on her. They have a 1-year-old son together. However, Khalifa, 27 reporting that he left her weeks before she filed for divorce.

Khalifa and Rose began dating in 2011 and were engaged the next year. They had their son Sebastian and were married in 2013. The two appeared happy and in love when the model announced they were splitting up. Rose cited irreconcilable differences, but went onto Twitter to call out her husband’s infidelity. “Please stop with the fake stories. I would never ever ever cheat on my husband in a million years I think you guys know this…” She went on, “Unfortunately my now ex husband can’t say the same…” Reportedly Rose went to his new home and caught Khalifa with another woman.

The rapper has a different side to the story. According to a source, they “have had some marital issues for some time now.” Apparently, the baby and marriage happened so fast, the couple didn’t take the time to really get to know one another. Khalifa reportedly made it clear weeks ago that the marriage was over. He will honor their prenuptial agreement and pay spousal support. However, he is fighting for joint custody of their child, challenging Rose who wants full custody. Khalifa hired a top divorce lawyer to deal with the legal matter.

The rapper has been calm throughout the divorce ordeal, even posting photos online of him and his dog. Rose appears to have moved on, spotted with different men as she went out to dinner. Khalifa has not spoken out publicly about their split.
