Fired employee beheads former co-worker in Moore, Oklahoma

A man in Moore, Oklahoma killed one of his former coworkers and seriously injured another shortly after being fired from his job.

An Oklahoma woman was beheaded by a former co-worker on Thursday according to the People’s Pundit Daily. The man responsible had just been fired from the company when he went on his short-lived attacking spree.

The victim was 54-year-old Colleen Hufford. Hufford was an employee of Vaughan Foods, a food distribution center in Moore, Oklahoma, when she was beheaded by Alexander Nolen. Nolen, who had been fired from Vaughan Foods shortly before the attack, not only beheaded Hufford, but he also stabbed another former co-worker, 43-year-old Traci Johnson. Johnson survived the attack and is currently in stable condition at a local hospital. Nolen had no relationship with either woman.

Before Nolen could inflict more damage to any other employees, he was shot by the company’s Chief Operating Officer and president, Mark Vaughan. Authorities believe that the actions by Vaughan prevented more possible injuries and deaths.

According to multiple media outlets, it is believed that Nolen’s attacks might have been motivated by his recent conversion to Islam. Nolen had served time in prison as recent as 2013, and while in prison, he converted to the Muslim faith. His former co-workers told police that he had tried to convert them during his time with the company.

The FBI will help with the case according to the Moore Police Department. They will look into whether or not the attacks were motivated by Islamic ideologies, or if they were just a rage in response to being fired. Some postings on one of Nolen’s’ Facebook pages point to the possibility that the attacks could have been motivated by Islamic extremism.

Nolen is currently in the hospital recovering from gunshot wounds. He has not been charged with anything yet being that he is still unconscious.
