Experts and evidence from TMZ are indicating Jasmine Tridevil's story may be as false as her alleged third breast.
File this under unsurprising. The Florida woman who became internet famous on Monday for allegedly she had plastic surgery to insert a third breast is being called a hoax by multiple sources.
According to Daily Dot, on Monday Jasmine Tridevil told radio station Real Radio 104.1 that she had had the third breast implanted “to make myself unattractive to men.” The 21-year-old is an aspiring reality television star and claimed she had visited “50 to 60” doctors in order to find one to perform the $20,000 surgery.
While Tridevil has certainly become famous, her story is being questioned by multiple experts, including Dr. Matthew Schulman, a NY plastic surgeon who talked to the Daily Dot. While acknowledging that creating a third breast was “theoretically possible” if arduous, requiring months of surgical procedures, he insisted that such a process would “not give the results that are shown.”
Adding to the skepticism is the fact that the only “proof” of the breasts are Tridevil’s own pictures. When asked by a news station to show her chest, she refused, claiming to be saving it for her reality show. She also refuses to confirm the name of the surgeon who performed the procedure, saying she signed a non-disclosure agreement.
Finally, TMZ has found documents that cast even more doubt on the story. Tridevil had a bag stolen from the Tampa International Airport. While listing the contents, she included a “3-breast prosthesis” valued at $5,000.
Tridevil continues to insist her story is true.
