“And as for this job, well, not that I have a choice but, f*** it, I quit.”
Sometimes it feels good to drop the f-bomb, but it’s usually better to do it in the privacy of your own or with familiar company. Charlo Greene, a 26-year-old KTVA reporter, decided to do things her way on Sunday, quitting her job by dropping a f-bomb on live TV.
Greene, who runs the Alaska Cannabis Club, did an expose on her business and then informed her audience that she was quitting to focus on her pot venture.
“Now everything you’ve heard is why I, the actual owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club, will be dedicating all of my energy toward fighting for freedom and fairness, which begins with legalizing marijuana here in Alaska,” Greene said. “And as for this job, well, not that I have a choice but, f*** it, I quit.”
In a statement released by KTVA CBS 11 News, the station apologize for Greene’s language.
“By now many of you have seen one of our reporters use inappropriate language and quit her job during Sunday night’s newscast,” the statement read. “We apologize.”
The station also revealed that Greene had never disclosed her involvement in the business that was the subject of her report.
“She had a personal and business stake in the issue she was reporting, but did not disclose that interest to us,” the statement continued. “This betrayed the basic bedrock of responsible journalism.”
The video has already gone viral, pulling in nearly two million views since being posted to YouTube on Sunday.
