They reportedly took off on foot.
According to a report from Reuters, authorities have apprehended four of the five prisoners who found their way out of a prison close to Fresno, California.
Roel Soliz (see image below), who was in prison for parole violation, burglary, probation violation and possession of a controlled substance, remains at large. “He should be considered armed and dangerous,” the Madera County Sheriff’s Office wrote via Facebook.
According to The Associated Press, there’s no word on how the inmates escaped, as well as where or how four of them were eventually caught.
“We don’t know how they got away, all we know is that they took off on foot,” sheriff’s spokeswoman Erica Stuart told The AP.
According to Reuters, the apprehended inmates are identified as follows: Ricardo Cendejas, Juan Lopez, Jorge Lopez-Diaz and Abel Ramos.
Among the five prisoners, they had nearly two dozen charges, including attempted murder and armed robbery.
