Honestly, what has pop singer Miley Cyrus not been up to these days? Her latest antics involve calling out a fellow pop diva on Instagram, while another has her violating the patriotic policies of an entire nation. Once could get her a lot of grief on social media; the other could get her 36 hours in jail.

The “Wrecking Ball” singer posted two videos to Instagram featuring her bouncing around, twerking and singing – all while wearing a big fat fake butt. The prosthetic derriere is part of Cyrus’ stage show, sure, but Minaj herself has recently come under scrutiny for a TMZ photograph that makes it appear as though her signature booty may have been, er, enhanced for a recent stage performance. In one video, Cyrus even remarks “I don’t even need wigs, bitches” (Minaj frequently sports colorful wigs as part of her performances). Throwing shade, or just having fun? That’s for you to decide.

Elsewhere, in Mexico, Cyrus could be facing serious legal troubles. A video from a performance last night shows (along with the same fake rear end) Cyrus bouncing around stage and getting whipped with Mexican flags by her backup dancers.

This is, as they say in Mexico, no bueno.

Mexico takes their flag very seriously and doesn’t tolerate those who desecrate it, famous or not. In 2008 singer Paulina Rubio was fined for appearing nude in photographs, covered in nothing but said flag. While MExican officials have yet to make a ruling, Cyrus could face a fine of $1,200 and be detained for up to 36 hours if she’s found in violation of the law.

Let’s hope Miley stays out of Mexican jail. It would only add to her “street cred.”
