The amount of coffee you drink every day may have a lot to do with what line of work you’re in.
According to a new survey conducted by Pressat, 85 percent of the 10,000 professionals included reported drinking at least three cups of coffee per day. Almost 70 percent of them claim their working day cannot be set in full gear without a daily jolt of coffee.
Those with more stressful jobs seem to consume the most coffee. Taking the top spot are journalists and those working in the media industry. Following closely behind are police officers, teachers, trade workers and medical personnel. Other job titles on the list include company executives, retail staff, drivers, and IT technical support specialists.

According to a recent study conducted by researchers from the University of South Carolina, the recommended daily consumption of caffeine should not exceed 200mg, which is equal to about four cups or two mugs of coffee.
Consuming more than this recommended amount can result in an increased risk of medical conditions, including anxiety, insomnia, stomach upset, fast heartbeat, muscle tremors, and even heart disease. Yet 62 percent of the participants of the survey admit they were not aware of these risks.
Being overworked, overstretched, and overstressed in one’s job appears to be linked to how much coffee a person drinks in a day.
