Lady Gaga has decided to push forward with her Tel Aviv concert despite middle east conflict.
Lady Gaga isn’t one to back down easily and apparently even the threat of war can’t stop her from doing her show overseas. Gaga will be performing in Tel Aviv, Israel, tonight, September 13.
Gaga isn’t the only high-profile singer in the region this weekend. Tony Bennett is also performing in Israel, just 24 hours after Gaga. Most likely, the two will make a surprise appearance at each others show as the new album they recorded together will be released in a little over one week’s time.
Gaga seems very excited to have the opportunity to perform in Israel. She recorded a video message titled “My Message For Israel” that spoke of her excitement. She also sent out a tweet earlier today, according to MTV, saying: “I am so excited for tonights performance, so many feelings. I can feel the energy of the crowd already. Love and Happiness #artRAVETelAviv”.
It’s great to see Lady Gaga keeping her promise to perform in Israel for her fans despite the ongoing conflict. As of right now, there is a cease fire in place but there is no saying how long that will last or when violence will erupt again.
Other performers including Cee Lo Green, the Backstreet Boys and Lana Del Ray all cancelled their shows in the city due to the violence. Gaga and Bennett are seemingly the only brave ones at the moment.
What do you think of Lady Gaga deciding to push forward with her Tel Aviv concert? Is it a good idea or is she putting herself and her fans in a dangerous situation?
