Disney's billion-dollar Blockbuster hit is set to be turned into its very own Epcot experience at Disney World, with a completion date sometime in 2016.
If your children are fans of the blockbuster animation hit Frozen, then you should probably start saving up for a trip to Orlando.
It looks like Frozen fever is officially on at Disney World!
Disney’s billion-dollar Blockbuster hit is set to be turned into its very own Epcot experience at Disney World, with a completion date sometime in 2016.
The Disney Parks blog reports that construction has already begun at the Norway Pavilion in Epcot. The upcoming attraction will be replacing Maelstrom and will let guests experience the Norwegian-inspired fictional land of Arendelle, including a meetup spot with Anna and Elsa, the main characters in the movie. Other details include allowing guests to enjoy “many of their favorite moments and music from the film,” according to Tom Staggs, Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts.
The Frozen characters will also be appearing more frequently at Magic Kingdom Park over the holidays. While Princess Anna and Queen Elsa already regularly appear at the park, Queen Elsa will be using her cryokinetic powers to transform Cinderella’s Castle into an ice palace every night starting in November. Attendees to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will also have the chance to see Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf in Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.
Staggs went on to blog about even more Frozen-related goings on at Disneyworld that are happening now.
“We’re extending some favorite elements of Frozen Summer Fun LIVE!, too, so that guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios can continue singing along to Frozen songs with Queen Elsa and Princess Anna,” he wrote. “Wandering Oaken’s will set up shop closer to the show through the holiday season and will feature a larger play area with real snow (in Florida!)”
