The cast of Married… with Children finally reunited earlier this week when Katey Sagal was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but that isn’t the only exciting news for fans of the show. According to E! News, Sony Pictures Television is planning to develop a Married… spinoff based on David Faustino’s character, Bud.

The former Married… with Children stars are all still successful in their careers, so it is not likely that the entire former Bundy clan will reprise their old roles in the spinoff. In fact, the cast struggles to find the time to even reunite with each other once every few years.

“We’ve talked about [a reunion] every year, but then there are so many pieces that have to be in alignment that for some reason it never happens,” Sagal told E! News. “But we love each other. Well, we’re all working now, so it’s hard to find the time!”

Christina Applegate confirmed that the rumored spinoff is in the works, but she and Sagal stated that they currently don’t have plans to return as Kelly and Peg. However, Applegate gave fans hope that Faustino will be involved in the spinoff.

“We’re going to do something with Dave maybe. I don’t know if it will be in character,” she told E! News. “I don’t know what that’s going to be. I don’t know if I’m allowed to speak on that at all.”

Faustino’s schedule is filled with TV cameos and voice work for the incredibly popular animated series Legend of Korra, so finding time to be involved with – let alone star in – the spinoff may prove to be difficult. His manager told HuffPost Entertainment that the proposed spinoff is “more speculative than set in stone,” and said there is “no official deal” for Faustino to be involved. Sony has thus far declined to comment.
