Pop star Beyonce Knowles turned 33 and celebrated her birthday in the south of France. She was accompanied by her husband Jay Z and their daughter Blue Ivy.  The birthday bash took place in Corsica, and Beyonce’s mother Tina Knowles was present, along with family and friends. It was a fun and joyous occasion for all in attendance. A source said, “Going away for Beyonce’s birthday is a tradition they have.” The family was seen arriving to the island by a private jet.

Beyonce and Jay Z, 44, recently are on the last days of their successful On the Run tour. It ends in Paris with the last shows on September 12 and 13, so it is fitting they have a birthday party in France. The couple and guests spent hours on the beach enjoying food and drinks. They also rented a luxury yacht for the occasion, with an $800,000 a week price tag. The family was all smiles, looking happy and content amidst persistent divorce rumors. Beyonce was content with her 2-year-old daughter, and the couple shared photos online. Jay Z posted a video message for his wife as a tribute featuring concert footage from their tour. The length is 33 seconds to go along with her age, a small gift for her birthday.

Celebrating in style is what the pop diva is all about. The singer has had year of ups and downs, but she moves forward. Beyonce was recently awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the MTV Video Music Awards and gave a memorable performance. The HBO special of their On the Run Tour will air this September 20.
