Taylor Swift joins "The Voice" as a mentor for season seven.
Get ready, Voice fans. The upcoming season of the hit reality show will include quite a few changes and a lot more celebrity faces.
According to reports, there will be at least two new judges taking the place of Usher and new mom Christina Aguilera, as well as multiple celebrity mentors who will help the judges in coaching their team.
Gossip site Perez Hilton is reporting that one of those mentors will be none other than country singer Taylor Swift, who is an A-list phenomenon and who has a massive appeal across all genres of music. Swift will not mentor just one judge but it appears she will mentor all of them. Each judge has their own mentor as well.
Adam Levine will be getting help from music legend Stevie Wonder, BlakeĀ Shelton will be getting assistance from Little Big Town and Pharrell will be having Alicia Keys on his side. The fourth judge, Gwen Stefani, will be keeping it in the family by turning to her husband, Gavin Rossdale.
Apparently, Taylor Swift will take on the role that Chris Martin of Coldplay had last season. She will be advising the coaches and making appearances, though it is hard to imagine her having time for this in her busy schedule.
Having Taylor Swift on board for the seventh season of The Voice is pretty exciting. No doubt her appearance will bring in new fans to the already popular singing competition.
Now all you need to do is find ways to pass the time until the season premiere on September 22.
