Donnie Wahlberg and Jenny McCarthy will be married Saturday in New York, but brother Mark will not attend.
Donnie Wahlberg is marrying Jenny McCarthy this weekend, but Mark Wahlberg, famous actor and brother of the groom, will not attend, reports Uproxx.com.
Mark Wahlberg is opting out because he and his wife Rhea do not like Jenny McCarthy, according to TMZ.
McCarthy talked about her relationship with Mark in a recent interview with Howard Stern, and Rhea Wahlberg did not like what McCarthy said.
The Wahlberg family has a T.V. reality show, Wahlburgers, about the family hamburger restaurant.
Brother Bobby also plans to skip the big event, but brother Paul will attend. Alma, mother of the Walhberg brothers, will not be there, either, but that is because she does not fly.
Mark Wahlberg is not attending because he needs to be in Los Angeles for a birthday party for his daughter Ella today in L.A., said one of his representatives to TMZ. Ella will be 11 years old on Tuesday, but Mark will be filming in Boston that day, said the representative.
There is absolutely bad blood with Jenny, say TMZ sources.
Donnie first hooked up with Jenny McCarthy in July 2013 when he appeared on her talk show. They flirted throughout the whole interview and have been inseparable ever since, according to Celebrity Dirty Laundry.
Brother Mark thought it was just a fling, but realized Donnie was actually happy with Jenny. Mark doesn’t approve at all, because McCarthy became famous doing Playboy, and has also been known to rally against Catholicism.
Earlier this year some jealousy flared up between Donnie and Jenny over her renewed friendship with her ex-boyfriend, Jim Carrey, The conflict has apparently been resolved.
McCarthy and Carrey had a 5-year relationship that ended in 2010, because she could not handle his depressive moods any more. McCarthy dated other celebrities before connecting with Donnie.
Donnie, 44, the former New Kids On The Block star, and Jenny, 41, will be married on Saturday, August 30 in New York.
