Charles Vacca, a 39-year-old military veteran, was accidentally shot by a 9-year-old girl who was firing an Uzi for the first time.
There will be no criminal charges in the accidental shooting death of an instructor at an Arizona shooting range, KGMI reports.
“Based on the video, the Sheriff’s Office has determined no charges are pending,” the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. The incident is “being viewed as an industrial accident.”

In a video of the incident, released by authorities, Vacca instructs the girl on how to fire the Uzi. After she fires off one round, he changes it to full auto. Seconds later, the 9 year old loses control of the gun and Vacca reportedly drops to the ground.
