Justin Bieber under investigation for attempted robbery… again

His latest run-in with the law is a repeat performance of an incident he was involved with earlier this year.

It seems Justin Bieber just can’t stay out of trouble.

His latest run-in with the law is a repeat performance of an incident he was involved with earlier this year. Back in May, the pop star was accused of snatching a woman’s cell phone after she had tried to take a photograph of him at a batting cage in Sherman Oaks, California. He has since been cleared due to a lack of evidence, but just two months after hearing the decision on that case, Bieber is at it again.

This time, he is under investigation for the exact same offense, stemming from an altercation at the new Dave and Buster’s in Hollywood on Monday night.

According to TMZ, Bieber and Selena Gomez were in the gaming establishment when a fan started taking pictures of the couple with a cell phone. The singer allegedly lunged for the device but his bodyguards quickly stepped in before he could grab it and likely erase photos and video that were captured.

The dust-up resulted in the police being called to the scene despite no actual physical contact being made between Bieber and the man who owned the cell phone.

Bieber, Gomez, and his security left before the cops arrived.

The fan intends to press charges against the troubled performer and he could face possible charges of attempted battery, attempted robbery and attempted theft. Yes, those are apparently two different offenses in this case.

This latest scuffle with the law could pose a serious problem for Bieber, as he is currently on probation for the egging case in which he was accused of throwing eggs at a neighbor’s house and causing serious damage to the property. If he is found to have broken the law again, he could be found in violation of that probation, which may lead to jail time.
