She’s got a brand new accessory. Nashville star Hayden Panettiere, 25, arrived on the Emmys red carpet Monday night in a shimmering Lorena Sarbu dress that highlighted a growing baby bump and told E! news hostess Giuliana Rancic that she was expecting a girl.

“I can’t wait for her to come out, this little one,” Panettiere said during her interview. “It’s a girl?” Rancic clarified. Panettiere replied, “I think I just said that, didn’t I? Yes, it’s a little girl.”

The actress also shared that the pregnancy had “accentuated my craving for chicken noodle soup,” and that her 5’2” body was still adjusting to carrying a baby. “My feet get sore when I’m wearing no shoes. I’ve never felt this amount of weight on me,” she said.”

Panettiere announced her engagement to world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko on LIVE with Kelly and Michael in October of 2013. The couple confirmed the pregnancy in May. Panettiere told Rancic that Klitschko’s nationality was making finding a baby name challenging. “We have to make sure that it is American and Ukrainian all that the same time. That’s a little rough…we’re still working on it.”

Klitschko did not appear on the red carpet.
